ARC (Architectural Review Committee) Request for Candidates – December 2023

We are seeking candidates to fill two vacancies on the ARC. The ARC is a 5-member board with

governing authority for the review and approval of improvements within Texas Grand Ranch.

The ARC is chaired by POA board member Michael Richardson with co-chair Dawn Kraft.

These are volunteer non-paying positions. The primary duty of the ARC is to review and

approve all construction projects on a residence’s property and ensure the projects meet the

standards set out in the Site and Building Requirements (SBRs) and the Covenants, Conditions,

and Restrictions (CCRs). The committee meets regularly as it monitors the 100+ ongoing

building projects taking place in Texas Grand Ranch. The role takes around 15 hours per week.

Interaction with builders and property owners is a key responsibility of the ARC members.

Members should have some availability Monday-Friday during business hours.

An ARC candidate needs to be familiar with the CCRs and SBRs. Experience with previous ARC

or construction experience would be beneficial. Candidates must be detail-oriented with an

ability to multi-task, and possess organizational expertise, and conflict resolution skills.

We will be accepting applications through January 10, 2024. Interviews will be held as soon as

candidate applications are received, and an interview time can be agreed upon with the POA

Board.

Please be aware of the following restrictions for ARC membership, set forth by the State of

Texas. Senate Bill 1588, prohibits the following people from serving on an architectural review

authority:

• A current board member

• A current board member's spouse

• A person residing in a current board member's household
